Supporting Royal Trinity Hospice

After crossing paths by fate and donating flowers to create something special for a patient of the Royal Trinity Hospice, Jessica and The Lucas Studio team are expanding their support this year, setting a target of raising £8,000 for the hospice’s important work.

Who are Royal Trinity Hospice?

Royal Trinity Hospice provides free specialist palliative and end of life care for people living in Wandsworth and parts of Lambeth, Merton, Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Richmond.

They believe that every moment matters, and go above and beyond to help patients and their families. You can read more about their amazing work on their website.

How did we become involved?

Following an unexpected wedding cancellation due to a family bereavement, Jessica and the couple were determined to find a meaningful home for the flowers, so they didn’t go to waste.

Having previously volunteered in a hospice, Jessica knew that flowers are always welcome, so called Royal Trinity Hospice, who by serendipitous chance, were organising a last-minute wedding for one of its patients that day.

Donating the flowers for this special moment brought some comfort to an incredibly sad situation.

What it means to us

It was after this moving experience, that we wanted to do more to support Royal Trinity Hospice and its much-needed care and compassion. This year, we hope to raise £8,000, which could fund any of the following:

 £3,000 - 15 days of specialist care for a patient in Trinity’s 26 bed in-patient-unit.

£3,000 - a specialist Palliative Care Doctor for a whole week.

£3,000 - for two weeks, one of Trinity’s bereavement counsellors supporting the loved ones of Trinity patients.

£5,000 – a Community Nurse for a month providing care in the patient’s own home.

£5,000 - for a month a specialist bereavement counsellor supporting the loved ones of Trinity patients.

We plan to achieve this by inviting friends, followers and clients to donate throughout the year and help us reach our goal of £8,000.
